Carrie Rist, one of three candidates for at-large chair of the Prince William County School Board in Virginia, has been convicted twice for shoplifting and pleaded no contest to a charge of leaving an animal in a hot vehicle. I did a post a while ago, Moms For Libations, on TikTok that suggested we start looking into these holier-than-thou, hypocritical Christian mother-fuckers to see what skeletons are in their closets. And just like that, we uncovered this clueless ganeff (crook in Yiddish). I’m sorry, but leaving your dogs in a hot car is grounds for far worse than not being allowed to run for an important position that will speak on behalf of 90,000 students while overseeing a 1.6 billion dollar budget. Give me a break. Yes, I know, forgiveness is paramount, but let’s not shower this right-wing, wing-nut nut job with such an important job job. I mean, look at her, “Children of the Corn” much?
In 2010, Rist was sentenced to a $3,000 fine and three years probation after a jury convicted her of one count of “theft of government property,” a misdemeanor, in connection with a shoplifting incident at the Andersen Air Force base exchange in Guam. Rist lived there with her then-husband, an Air Force captain who served as a military defense attorney. I’d bet you a Melania Trump NFT that he wanted out of that marriage and not the other way around.
According to federal court records, prosecutors said Rist was caught on security cameras placing a Coach purse, two Estee Lauder lipsticks, and Clinique moisturizer, under her baby’s car seat, which was sitting in the shopping cart. I mean, a Coach bag?
On June 2, 2018, a Stafford police officer cited Rist after finding two dogs confined in her 2011 GMC Yukon, parked in the Walmart parking lot at 217 Garrisonville Road at 12:20 p.m. that day, according to court documents.
The police officer noticed the dogs in the SUV with the windows cracked open, checked the temperature inside the vehicle, and found it to be 103 degrees. He called the Walmart store, asking the owner to come to get the dogs, but no one came out immediately. So he wrote a citation, according to his report, obtained from the Stafford Animal Services Center.
During the April 14 interview with the Prince William Times (her local gazette), Rist said that the officer was waiting for her when she came out of the store. Rist said she and her friend took their children to dog training at PetSmart earlier that day because both had recently gotten puppies.
Rist said she stopped at Walmart to get a prescription and left her daughter, who was about ten years old, and her daughter’s friend, inside the car with the dogs. Rist said the children “were old enough” to stay with the dogs, but that while she was inside the store, the kids left the vehicle, leaving the dogs unattended. Rist disputed the police account of the incident and said the dogs “were in the car, but it was not hot.” So she’s a thief and a liar. Why would the cop lie about how hot the car was? And while I’m at it, what was the prescription for what, lady? Percocet? Ativan? Adderall?
Rist told the Prince William Times that she “can’t change anything about the past” and hopes to be an example to the kids who mess up—bratty, entitled kids like her. “I’m running for office because I think no one is perfect. I think that everyone deserves a second chance.” But, frankly, I’m not convinced. I can’t get on the other side of the dog situation. We must start trolling all the Moms of Liberty skanks and knock them off their pedestals.
MAGA Republican Carrie Rist is running against incumbent School Board Chair Dr. Babur Lateef and fellow Democrat Julia Biggins. The election is on November 7, 2023.
