"And Vote Like You've Never Voted Before."
Lord knows y’all got the memo in 2020 and 2024. Yet, somehow, here we are, hurling through outer space. If you didn’t believe that voting matters before, I’m sure y’all are suffering from cognitive dissonance and a pathetically apathetic lack of empathy and civic engagement now. The November election was a gut-punch reminder that democracy is not a spectator sport. “You gotta be in it to win it.”
Those who show up to vote get to shape the world we live in. All this careening into the toilet thanks to Elon Musk could have been avoided. Hence, voting matters. Words matter too, just not the excuses by those who chose to stay home and protest. The worst kind of protest there is. Elections matter. Voting isn’t a fashion statement—it’s a duty.
Speaking of Elections—I’m Running for Congress!
No, not our farkakte Congress—I would sooner watch paint dry than join the clown car of—feckless on one side, dangerous on the other—“stuck-up, half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf herders.”
No, I’m running for the World Zionist Congress—and if you haven’t heard of it, well, that’s part of the problem. Especially if you’re Jewish. The election happens every five years.
What is the WZC? It’s the global parliament which determines how critical funding is allocated to support Jewish life worldwide. It’s the preeminent voice for our people. I’m honored to have been asked to run this year. It’s a noble position, and my father (RIP) was a lifelong supporter of the WZC.
[SIDEBAR] Shamefully, in 2020, out of 7.5 million Jews in America, only 125,000 voted for this incredibly important body. Talk about apathy! We make the Democrats look hyper-engaged.
To be clear, Judaism kicked off near Mount Zion in Judea, hence the name which traces back to 1800 BCE. So, don’t get me started on the term Zionist—or who belongs where. We are an ethnocultural movement determined to keep OUR homeland. Get over it.
I’m running with a slate called The Jewish Future, a group of Democrats and Independents who are hell-bent on shaping a brighter, safer future for American Jewry. It’s an extension of my mission Won’t Be Silent. I’m counting on the Jewish people in my community to meet the moment and vote like we’ve never voted before.
I refuse to sit back while Jews are ostracized and denigrated by a group of religious zealots who spew hatred and trade in fear-mongering. An angry mob has somehow brainwashed our youth into thinking terrorism is good and Jews are expendable, and our history—irrelevant. Standing up for ourselves is on the menu. You’ve been served.
In the words of John Lewis, 'Get into good trouble.' I'm doing it, and it feels amazing. Find your way to making a commitment—get engaged in your community and make a difference in your life. Get ready to fight for the best part of America’s promise. Whether you’re Jewish or not, step up, take action, and Don’t Stop ‘til It Matters. Hmmm, now, where have I heard that before?
Running for Congress is another step in why I Won’t Be Silent—because that’s not just my moniker; it’s my mission and my story. Want to know more? Want to help me win? Please email me to learn how you can vote and support my candidacy.
