This Review Of My Book Made Me Cry
Wanted To Share This Emotional Response That I Just Saw On Amazon!
Nothing brings me more joy than making people laugh. It has been a coat of armor since childhood, feeling always defenseless due to my insurmountable insecurities. Making people laugh has helped me navigate the world because it puts people at ease and, quite frankly, has had me cracking up inside my head all along. Not sure what’s more important, being funny for my amusement or others. I can tell you it’s really funny inside my head. As long as people are laughing, the crying is at bay.
When I read the above response from that guy, Brian on Amazon to my new book, “Won’t Be Silent—Don’t Stop ‘til It Matters” I was floored. You gotta see the others. (Click the link and scroll down!) They’re incredible. I am overwhelmed, overjoyed, and no longer overweight, so I wanted to share the news with you. You, who have found your way to my Substack and appreciate the honesty that I share in my political views as well as how I see the world at large.
Your opinions matter to me. Mattering is the theme of my book. If you’re a book reader, please check out my baby. Since I won’t have kids, the nine months that went into nurturing this major bucket list challenge is my equivalent. The love and care for each word and now seeing these responses is like watching the book take its first steps.
The ultimate goal is to create group conversations because my book deals with universal topics: loss, addiction, heartbreak, you know, the fun stuff. You will see in my story, that I have been able to successfully survive challenges that can serve as an opportunity to bring people together to share their experiences and hope for a better, funnier future. That said, once you read it, please email me, and let’s chat.
That’s a beautiful review. 🥰
