The expression “End Jew Hatred” didn’t come out of left field, nor was it coined this past week after the heinous attacks in Israel. Jew-hatred is as old as the hills—Zion to be exact. And no, I am not here to teach anyone about the history of that region. Quite frankly, I am sick of seeing the countless keyboard warriors with their vapid, pseudo-teaching moments on the nuanced conflicts between Jews and Christians, Jews and Muslims, Muslims and Christians that frankly are worth shit.
Unless you were in the land of Canaan when Judaism was first recorded in 1800 BC, or dining with Jesus in 27 AD when Christianity became a thing, or on your knees when Islam became the official religion of Muslims in 610 AD, I am not interested in a word anyone has to say on the subject. Scholars included. Chances are they are using one or more versions of the Bible or some other random, nonsensical ancient text as a reference to prove their points. As I see it, these are nothing but fairy tales and fantastical stories written by older men to keep people oppressed.
Each religion and its teachings include violent stories of rape, incest, homophobia, murder, and nothing that remotely resembles the moral compass I choose to live by. Hamas set out to violently kill Jews to make a point. I have been horrified and heartbroken by the countless non-Jews who, in retaliation, immediately accused Israel of being responsible for these atrocities, as well as calling Hamas partisans as opposed to terrorists. This sentiment has spilled into my TikTok feed, and if you are one of those people who have gone down that rabbit hole, allow me to throw a stick of dynamite down that misguided hole as a thank-you for your idiotic service. Please then block me.
Let me spare you the gruesome details of my parents’ experiences surviving the Holocaust. Each of them went through unimaginable horrors that many of the antisemitic keyboard warriors on my social media comment sections couldn’t fathom or survive. These snowflakes are everything wrong with the world we live in and why we have gone so awry that their willingness to stand in solidarity with Hamas is their badge of honor. Of course, innocent Palestinians should not suffer for the evil that their leaders have brought upon them. I stand for PEACE!
My takeaway from this historic incident and the aftermath is that I am glad to clearly see my enemies at the gate. We have been lulled into a false sense of democratic values, and now that here in America, democracy is at risk, I see how the perpetrators that brought us Trump are alive and well and circling the wagon of false Gods and promises. (No Labels, Cornel West, Marianne Williamson, RJK Jr, you know, Bernie Bros.) It just proves that so many people are hypocrites, and we are on our own, especially if you are Jewish. Sad, but true.
