Who, like me, is guilty of making New Year’s resolutions and not keeping them? It’s fun to fantasize that you will embrace the new year by working out more, eating better or less, reading more books, etc. It’s important to be mindful of our mental health and to take time for self-care. This will help make the new year a success!
I have an idea. Let’s be accountable this year to each other. Make your list, check it twice, of resolutions for 2023, and let’s regroup next December and see how we’ve fared.
Here’s my list, wish me luck.
1) Finish my book, “Last Five Minutes of Fame.
2) Finalize my deal for the documentary “Wolf’s Song.”
3) Recruit candidates for down-ballot races throughout the US.
4) Keep my blood pressure down.
5) Continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
6) Talk shit about MAGA Republicans.
7) Meditate a little.
8) Travel more, see one of the 7 Wonders of the World.
9) Cook more.
10) Read more.
Feel free to email me your list of resolutions. I will create a folder that we can revisit next year. Let’s see who lives up to the bargain that we make with ourselves.
