What say we all take a beat, breathe, and remember that love is all you need. If there isn’t that special someone sharing this day with you, well, you have me who loves that you’ve joined our Won’t Be Silent community.
Today, there will be no reportage on any of the many catastrophes that are rolling out, especially the stupid ones like renaming a body of water that people only think about when they look at a map of the United States, which by the way, no one’s really looked at since grade school. You remember that big multicolored map with the fraying edges that hung on your middle school history class?
[SIDEBAR] My parents met and fell in love on the Cargo of Hope, the boat that brought them to America having survived the Holocaust. So, there’s hope for everyone!
With that special memory, for today, we are only going to think about things we love. Our pets, some family members, thoughts of when we were thinner—oops—I might be speaking for myself. But you get the assignment. Take a walk, call a friend, watch “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” or something that you know warms the cockles of your heart. And if a pint of Haagen-Das does it for you, enjoy!
So, Happy Valentine’s Day my loves. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and encouragement. We will rise though the tidal wave of the unknown because we have each other. Know that I am here and feel free to reach out anytime.
