A Passover Miracle: Barbra Streisand & I In The Same Sentence
The History of Passover Is About Miracles, And Mine Came True Today
Miracles do come true, I am living proof. Maybe not always when we want them to or how we hope they look and feel, but miracles happen all the time. Hence the expression, “Don’t quit before the miracle”. On this first night of this holiday that celebrates the idea and cost of freedom from oppression, it brings me NO joy to share my Instagram post from today. (WATCH)
The fact that these masked marauders—let me not be so nice—ugly, violent criminals are threatening the lives of Jewish students on campuses around the country is unfortunate, yet symbolic. As a child of Holocaust survivors with a spine made of steel, I don’t fear these wildebeests. Their moment might be now, but once again as history proves, the Jews will rise and thrive and have from far worse circumstances.
These hysterical nudniks causing traffic jams with their faces covered prove to be a weak, sad group of wannabe warriors. They are little lost souls who are headed to a similarly harrowing ending as Pharaoh’s crew, only a modern-day equivalent of being consumed by the Nile River. The other expression that feels appropriate here is “Denial is a sea in Egypt”. It is so telling that at this time, Egyptians have turned a blind eye to the Palestinian cause. And like propagandized puppets, these jerks have decided to turn a blind eye to Egypt’s blind eye. Whereas I, on the other hand, have blind faith that we shall survive and they will lose. These protesters will suffer the same fate as the Nazis. Not only did they fail at winning the war, but many Nazis and their families who stayed silent were stricken with guilt and suffered from years of self-loathing. History repeats itself, good always wins in the end. You’ll see.
Back to my miracle, Barbra Streisand and I being on the same wavelength via Audible! Kvelling forever. If she gets her precious hands on this book, I will plotz! Either way, it’s a double miracle because my book, “Won’t Be Silent - Don’t Stop ‘til It Matters” is a MAJOR miracle in and of itself. Finishing my memoir and getting the kinds of reviews and accolades from readers has me kvetching my genecktegesoink. It has brought unending joy, which is a by-product of self-love. May peace prevail on Earth.
PS…You can read the book, too on Amazon.
“Won't Be Silent—Don’t Stop ‘til It Matters”
Embracing my superpowers of humor and optimism to survive being a second-generation Holocaust survivor, coming out, addiction, and endless unbelievable obstacles.”
Abe what is your input on the Red Heifer & Passover? Just curious. I figured if anyone could give me an answer to that it would be you. Thank you. 🥰
